Everis PLQ2 Series liquid cooling connectors provide ultra-reliable, dripless connections and disconnections. Made of PPSU, a high-performance thermoplastic, the Everis PLQ2 connector is lightweight, not susceptible to galvanic corrosion and rated UL94 V0 flame retardant. With an ergonomic thumb latch, Everis PLQ2 fittings are easy to use. They are purpose-built for liquid cooling of electronics applications and offer a high-flow capacity to optimize thermal management system performance. Everis PLQ2 quick disconnects use CPC-developed valve technology that is designed for long-term use with no spill upon disconnect.

At CPC, we’re always looking for the next big thing for liquid cooling of electronics. Our latest innovation is the PLQ2—a quick disconnect (QD) made from high-performance thermoplastic. (By the way, we’re also proud of our LQ series of metal connectors.) CPC unveiled the new thermoplastic connector for liquid cooling of electronics at SC18 in Dallas on Nov. 13. Made of polyphenylsulfone (PPSU), the PLQ2 connectors offer a heat-deflection temperature of more than 200°C and are chemically compatible with all of today’s most widely used coolants and engineered fluids. Until now, users seeking the lightweight and corrosion-resistant benefits of plastic QDs typically sacrificed some level of robustness. With the PLQ Series, that tradeoff is no longer necessary. The PLQ Series’ advanced polymer construction maintains excellent thermo-oxidative stability and long-term material performance over time. The PLQ QDs operate in temperatures from 0°F to 240°F (-17°–115°C). Dimensionally stable PPSU has low water absorption, making the PLQ QDs ideal for water-cooled systems and humid environments. As a thermal insulator, PPSU reduces potential condensation on the connector and eases handling—the QD will not be hot to the touch when warm fluid is present. The PLQ2 connector has undergone more than 10,000 cycles of leak testing as well as fluid burst pressure, creep resistance testing and more.
